Now living the life of a small-business owner and hopeless romantic, Rosalie drops one of her 'wishing cards' off the Eiffel Tower on her birthday every year, a new wish every time. But they don't come true.
Yet Rosalie persists in keeping this tradition close to her heart, and one day in her store a famous children's author Max Marchais offers her a job to be the illustrator of his last ever book, "The Blue Tiger". This stroke of luck for Rosalie is more than she can ever imagine, but her world is changed once more as an obnoxious American man crashes onto her doorstep claiming that the story had been plagiarised. Rosalie doesn't know who to believe or to listen to, but will her heart lead her in the right direction this time or let her down to adding more disappointment to her life?
Review:
This book is such a charming and cute read, which I really enjoyed especially as I read it whilst on vacation in France. The warm-hearted story is a romance set in the city of love, with happy vibes all the way through. The beginning of the novel charmed me immediately, with the introduction of the characters. With themes of trust, hope and love, the story of Rosalie Laurent in her French store will put a smile on your face as you read. Since I studied French, I especially liked how little French phrases and words were slipped into the dialogue, as they were meant to be communicating only in French. A beautiful story, I would recommend it to everyone who wants a light-hearted, charming story and who loves anything French. If you've read this book too, or plan to read it- tell me what you think! I'd love to hear your opinion on Paris is Always a Good Idea as well!
